professor of economics at Brown University. I first encountered her when I was pregnant and seeking answers from her book, Expecting Better. She also wrote crib sheet, the family firm, and the

unexpected, all of this to provide data on pregnancy, parenting, and personal health. She is so smart, so

lovely, and I'm really excited for you to enjoy this conversation where we talk about

how do we raise resilient kids and what does the data show us? For those listeners who aren't aware, I interviewed Emily four years ago when I was over four years ago, when I was pregnant with Eureka.

So I was on my journey becoming a mom.
