Greetings, Earthlings. I am in southern Spain on my way to Morocco to serve as a chaplain for a

few days for a Catholic movie being made there. And today I want to ask the question,

why does the Western Hemisphere speak Spanish? Asking that question from Spain today.

Another way to put that question would be, why did Spain produce all the greatest evangelists for the Catholic faith?

Now, I know there's going to be some pushback, of course, 16th century, 17th century, 18th century France, produced many saintly priests that went to Africa.

And of course, the best pushback would be the apostles themselves who came from Israel slash Palestine and evangelized the

entire Mediterranean, actually all the way from Spain here, all the way to Indian, possibly China.

There are some thoughts that St. Thomas actually made it to China.

But sheer numbers, sheer numbers I would go so far as to say Spain herself produced all the greatest

missionaries, at least if you had to conglomerate and look at what country produced the most

missionaries. Another way to put that, as I said at the beginning, is why does the Western

Hemisphere speak Spanish? Did it quick Google before turning on the record button here.

There's about 330 million Spanish speakers in the Western Hemisphere,

about 300 million English speakers, and over 200 million Portuguese speakers.

before any of this is going to make sense. One of the things I have to put on the back burner today is

we have to use. So we conservative channels have to be very careful on algorithms and use code words.
