TODAY'S SCRIPTURE:

ROMANS 2:1-5 - Therefore you have no excuse, O man, every one of you who judges. For in passing judgment on another you condemn yourself, because you, the judge, practice the very same things. 2 We know that the judgment of God rightly falls on those who practice such things. 3 Do you suppose, O man—you who judge those who practice such things and yet do them yourself—that you will escape the judgment of God? 4 Or do you presume on the riches of his kindness and forbearance and patience, not knowing that God's kindness is meant to lead you to repentance? 5 But because of your hard and impenitent heart you are storing up wrath for yourself on the day of wrath when God's righteous judgment will be revealed.

1:27.1	Lord Jesus, that's it, just quite simply, we need you to be our help as we dig into our words so that we can understand what you're saying to us.
1:31.4	It's in your name we pray. Amen. Okay friends, well so
1:36.3	far in the book of Romans, it's been pretty bad news. The apostle Paul has
1:41.3	been describing this downward spiral of sin that happens when we begin
1:47.4	with a rejection of God's authority over our lives.
1:50.9	When we as creatures say, nope, not having the Creator's input at all, then this
1:56.3	spiral happens where we start going down and down and down and
1:59.2	down and God gives us over and terrible things happen, including here at the beginning of chapter 2, self-righteousness
