by which I mean it doesn't take me so by surprise that I enjoy this so much.

If you're new to it, think of it as the radio equivalent of the newspaper columns where readers write in with their mysteries. You know, why do we do this? What's that about? Where does that come from? What's the origin of this? Why do we do that? And I want Olympic-flavored ones as well. Glancing at the switchboard, the Olympic invitation
