Hey everyone, welcome to Ask the Pastor. I am Madlove. I am here with Pastor J.D. Greer.

0:12.5

And today we are wrapping up a series we've been doing called Why Does It Matter?

0:17.5

And we've just been exploring all these great questions, some of which we've touched on in

0:21.2

different ways in the past, but all through this lens of why are these things that we know

0:25.4

Christians believe or we've heard are important?

0:28.2

Why are they so important to the faith?

0:31.4

And, J.D., in some ways, this question feels a little bit like we're kind of saying,

0:34.6

Why does it matter to be able to kind of nail these doctrines down so particularly?

0:52.3

And again, we've covered this in some different ways before, but it felt like

0:55.2

1:09.8

it's a person that you know.

1:11.1

And so we put the emphasis, you know, on the relational aspects. And, you know, it's less important

1:17.4

that I know everything about God. But what you've got to realize is that's all true.

1:22.6

But at least the part about knowing God is true and relationally. But what you have to realize

1:27.2

is that the Bible is very, very zealous to talk about a proper view of God.

1:33.9

In fact, the famous verse that always says it's quoted out of context where there's no vision that people perish.

1:39.0

Vision, it's not talking about a vision to build, you know, build a church and, you know, do, it's talking about the vision.

1:44.8

Though I have heard many sermons by our pastoral apprentices using it that way.
