I was an NBA fan before I was at Memphis saying I wish there wasn't a team here.

I when I was younger I was one of my favorite players was obviously Penny Hardaway

he played you know so my team was oddly enough because of him because of his Memphis connections and everything

I loved to watch the land of magic when I was a kid I was I'm a young that probably

Sighi the cutoff of the Jordan Air where I you know didn't

really understand how or you know really watch him play but as far as

Memphis goes you know it took a little while before I probably really caught on with the Grises.

And Memphis is an odd in kind of a strange city and sense that, you know, the university here at the University of Memphis is for a long time was putting more people

in the seats than the Grizzlies were.

So you have a team, a college team that regularly puts 18,000, 17,000 people in an arena, which is very,

you know, unlikely in most college situations.

So for I went to the universe of Memphis and so a graduate

there so that was kind of what my basketball was for a longest time and

then and then the Grisley's put together the combination of Mark and Mike and Zach and Tony.

And so that's really why I started to key in on the Grizzlies and really start to watch them,

you know, probably 2010, 2009, really start to watch those guys a little

bit more. And at that time I was working for a company that got free tickets to Sweet the Grizzlies,

and so for several years we went and watched business games just

because that was something to do so really but really when the core four got

put together was really when I you know started to pay attention more and that

kind of coincided with University of Memphis
