We are going to answer a listener question that I actually said we would answer four months ago.

and I'll respond to you, but somebody asked us to the question, why do you worship? Why do we worship?

And this is a topic we haven't done directly on the Thinking Fellows. We have a broad audience.

They're not just Lutherans or Reformed or evangelicals. We have people from all

traditions. And so the way we worship looks very different. But I think answering the question

why could help explain some of the way and the things like that. And Dr. Mommy has recently

published a edited volume on ecclesiology, which is called

Church as Fulness in All Things, recasting Lutheran ecclesiology in an ecumenical context.

And I think that subtitle helps sort of cross that divide with other denominations, which will be

helpful.

I noticed that there were actually quite a few chapters dedicated to that and had

non-Lutherans writing in it as well, correct? Yeah, thanks for having me on. This was an important

thing to us as we were attempting to sort of cultivate and invigorate some ecclesiological

discussion as Lutherans that I'm really of the conviction that we want to and need to do this with

brothers and sisters of other Christian traditions, other denominations. And so, yeah, there's a number

of essays at the back of this volume where you've got non-Lutherans saying to Lutherans,

this is, you know, what I can be taken from your ecclesiology and what I think you could
