1:27.6 | but we also know that just because we are obedient to God does not mean everything will go smooth |
1:34.0 | for us in this world. In fact, Jesus, Paul, all throughout the New Testament, we see very clearly |
1:39.4 | that obedience will oftentimes lead to suffering in this world. And then you think about |
1:45.5 | and saw must ask this at numerous points, like, why God, why do the wicked prosper? |
1:52.6 | To use language from Job 21, seven here, why do the wicked live and reach old age and grow mighty |
2:00.4 | and power? There are many wicked people who are Godless, who hate God, who prosper in this world. |
2:10.3 | And this is a wrestling we see all throughout Scripture that reminds all of us |
2:17.7 | that this world and prosperity in it and comfort in it is not the indicator of righteousness |
2:25.9 | before God. In fact, in fact, you can argue from the New Testament that righteousness before God |
