Four minutes after ten is the time. And if we are to continue to spend our mornings together,

as we have done now for many years, then I suspect one of the things that's going to change as the world turns is the dependence of people like me upon newspapers, upon traditional media.

I am still, I'm afraid, very, very much linked by an umbilical

chord. As with Nick, I'm not just a former newspaper man myself, but I'm the son of a newspaper

man. And weaning myself off that mode of news delivery is incredibly difficult. And I'm not in a

desperate rush to do it, but as we often observe on this

program, the ludicrously biased nature of the print media in this country, the way it's so

obviously and explicitly serves the purposes of a tiny cabal of billionaire owners, all of whom,

for example, pro-Brexit, is actually ridiculous.

And today is one of those days where we will be wading into journalism that has been done

beyond that pool, outside that pool. Private I have rather led the field on the individuals

who've trowsered, at frankly unbelievable sums of money

in the delivery of so-called PPE contracts.

I mean, what would you think?

I mean, genuinely, if you've got no clue at all and you're sitting here thinking,

oh, what's he on about now?
