0:09.9	know the routine. John and I take a question from each week's lesson to focus on. John,
0:17.4	this week's lesson is on the book of Job. So the question becomes, I think, really easy
0:24.1	and this is a question that hasn't just been asked by our students, but it's been asked
0:28.9	by all human beings throughout all of time. And that is why suffering. Why do bad things happen
0:35.0	to good people on this planet? So John, if we've got listeners out there who are wondering
0:40.1	that same thing, why is there so much suffering? What would you say? What can I get from the
0:44.4	book of Job and other scriptures that will help me at least maybe now answer this question
0:48.8	completely, but give me some semblance of peace. I love that you said maybe not answer
0:54.6	this question completely because in the book of Job, all these things happen to him. In
1:00.6	a matter of a few verses, he loses everything in chapter one. And the next 41 chapters
1:07.6	are trying to figure it out. Just some amazing things happen. I love that his friends come
1:14.5	up first and they just sit with him. They don't try to explain it. They don't try to
1:19.9	say it. And as soon as they do try to explain it, that's when things kind of actually get
1:25.6	worse. Because they're, well, maybe God's doing this. So maybe God's doing this. And they're
1:31.0	in error. They think, oh, maybe you sinned or you know, that sort of thing. It's such a
1:35.9	good question, such an ancient question. And it comes down to the youth thing. Do you trust
1:41.7	God? There's a purpose in a planet. Will you, will you trust him when you don't have
1:46.8	the answers right away? You know that verse, Hank, that we all love in Abraham 3. What
1:52.1	is it? 2425 that kind of gives a purpose of life type of statement. I will prove them
1:57.4	now here with to see if they will do whatsoever. The Lord their God shall command them. And
2:02.2	I like to add, even when it doesn't make sense. And see if I wonder what Job will do
