That quote comes directly from Magique Most Evil, a dark arts reference book written by the Dark Wizard and former Elder Wand owner go to low in the

Middle Ages. The book was taken from the Hogwarts Library's restricted section by Hermione in 1997

in the hopes of gaining a better understanding of Voldemort's Hawkerxes. However, shockingly, even a

dark arts text written by a Dark Wizard refused to give information on the horrific magical practice that is Hawkewark's creation.

We eventually find out that there have only been two dark wizards in history that have successfully created them.

The first being Herpoo the Fowl, an ancient dark wizard that hailed from Greece, and the second being a young boy by the name of Tom Riddle, Voldemort.

However, what I've always wondered is, why didn't more dark wizards create them?

I'm sure, a dark text written by a dark wizard warns against it, but I can't imagine a driven and powerful dark wizard, likely fueled by ego,

being too dissuaded by the words of another wizard. After all, it certainly didn't stop Voldemort.

Are we really supposed to believe that, over the course of wizarding history, only two dark

wizards have curated them? Also worth mentioning is that there is an even darker text out there named

Secres of the Darkest Art written by a Mr. Al Bullock. This book, according to Hermione, gives

explicit instructions on how to make Hawkerxes, detailing the entire procedure, still unknown to us,

for their creation. So again, given that an entire book exists dedicated to outlining how they are created, I'm

finding it increasingly hard to believe that only two wizards actually did it.
