goes up in flames. I think that's a slight exaggeration. If it had gone up in flames, they would

be calling the fire brigade. They never called the fire brigade, strangely enough. I would have thought

that would be the first thing you would do. She now wants to know how much it's going to cost

to put this right. Apparently the bedroom and the corridor are blackened with smoke.

Well, let me ask some pertinent questions then, Miss Price.

I know you weren't there, but was it a candle?

Was it a piece of faulty equipment?
