I'm David Green, your host here on the show where we take a stand.

We say that we can talk about all the things, everything, even the hard things, and just

listen to different perspectives, all be in a room together and just talk and figure

stuff out.

And I want to dig this week into what we have been watching play out in Tennessee over

the past week or so and what it could mean for our politics, for our democracy, for our

ability as a country to come together and solve problems or might we say our lack of

ability to do that.

Expelling members from a legislative body, kicking people out of a job that voters put

them in almost never happens.

But the Tennessee House of Representatives expelled two Democratic lawmakers when they interrupted

House proceedings to join a protest calling for more gun restrictions.
