0:05.7	It's found in John 1034 and it reads,
0:09.4	Is it not written in your law?
0:12.5	I said you are gods.
0:15.0	So New Agers and arbitrary spiritualists, they have taken this one single sentence, isolated it from its context, and have just like ran with it as if it is some sort of divine permission slip to self-deity.

0:40.8	circles that I ran in because for those of you that don't know, I was a new ageer myself before I met the
0:46.7	Lord Jesus Christ. And you hear things such as like, oh, see, Jesus said himself that we're gods.
0:54.2	That means that we're divine beings just like him.
0:57.5	He was only ever here to be a mirror for us to reflect our own divinity
1:01.8	and remember what we have forgotten.
1:05.3	You know, we're creators.
1:07.0	We're sovereign.
1:08.3	We're one with the universe.
1:10.3	Blah, blah, blah.

1:12.2	Okay.
1:12.5	But actually here is the truth is that Jesus was not saying any of that.

1:24.4	And when you do read this in context, both in the Old Testament where he's actually quoting from and in the full conversation happening here in John 10, it becomes like painfully obvious that Jesus was not complimenting anybody by telling the Pharisees or telling you
