So I got a ton of emails this weekend about the Kansas City Chiefs

and the move that they made on Friday,

where it was announced by the attorney for Ariel Young,

the young five-year-old girl, that Britt Reid smashed into

last year in the first week of February, right before the Super Bowl. I got a lot of emails from you saying, hey, are you going to comment on this? You're going to do a podcast on this. Look, we've said for months this was going to happen. The Chiefs were going to buy their way out of this thing. And they really had no reason to buy their way out of anything because, right, they didn't do it. It was Britt Reid. He's not with him. He's been terminated. He's on his own and he was a low-level employee. So I'm going to play for you in a few minutes all of my thoughts on this. But what I thought I do is I'd step back to Thursday. This is Thursday the 18th and I received an email and I receive emails from time to time like this, and I don't share them very often with the audience, but I thought

this was particularly interesting because of the way it ends, and it's pertinent to this story

in this situation. Keeping in mind that on Thursday, something that I can't take part in, was the

once a year, one time a year news conference in season by the owner of the Chiefs.

He's available once in season. He does a news conference. That was on Thursday.

Of course, then on Friday, the Chief's information was released and buried because it was Friday afternoons where you bury everything.

It's game weekend that they had paid off the family for all of the medical bills and apparently financial support for life

is what the chiefs are guaranteeing to Ariel Young and her family. But I received this on Thursday

about the time that Clark Hunt was doing his news conference. And I thought it was interesting. It's from a listener. I won't

give a last name. His name is Dustin. And this one really touched me. And I emailed him and said,

this is, this is move me in a profound way what he's written in this email. And Dustin writes to me,
