Like that seems like a really smart move for the bears, considering there were no safeties that were on the roster and you go and sign one that people have high

hopes for.

He's a hybrid safety.

He can play strong or free.

That's something that your defensive coordinator seems to like.

And so there's value in it that one,

he's a good player. And two, he can play two spots. So it doesn't limit what you can do the

rest of the way free agency or the draft. You don't have to go, well, now we're just looking

for box safety. You can actually say, well, if we find another safety that's got some hybrid ability to or someone that we know is elite or has elite potential to play the free safety spot, for example, you can do that because Bryant's played both.
