The Biden administration is doubling down on masks, announcing that the government will be

distributing 25 million masks. The masks, which will be provided in packs of two, will be

distributed through community health centers and food pantries and soup kitchens. The White House's

fact sheet states the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention recommends mask wearing as a

critical step to help slow the spread and protect people from getting COVID-19. But many low-income

Americans still lack access to this basic protection. A federal judge in Texas has blocked

President Joe Biden's deportation pause in a nationwide order. On Tuesday night,

U.S. District Judge Drew Tipton, appointed by former President Donald Trump,

blocked an order from the Biden administration that would have halted deportations for 100 days

while the Biden administration evaluated immigration enforcement. The Biden administration's

announcement declaring the 100-day deportation pause was signed just hours after Biden was inaugurated.

That did not leave much time for reflection and analysis. Tipton wrote in the ruling which was 105

pages long. Tipton added, the defendants do not cite and the court cannot find other instances

in which any government agency paused its essential duties and tasks for 100 days to reassess its
