Some today around us are arguing that the instinct that a lot of men have still to protect women and protect children is a caveman instinct.

This all fits in with the common critique of masculinity that we

hear today, namely that if you're assertive and aggressive as a man in a traditional form,

you're a toxic man. Many of you have heard me critique the concept of toxic masculinity.

On today's episode of Grace and Truth, I want to go head

at a recent clip from Chris Cuomo where the famed journalist argued that if you speak

against or act against those who would go into a restroom, a man identifying as transgender

after your daughter, for example, then you're a caveman and you're

outmoded and that is a bad instinct.

Here's the thesis of this episode.

It is a good and godly thing for men to be protectors.

In fact, that's one of our greatest needs today is for men to reject what our culture says and instead

bow up and own who they are and who they are called to be by God and protect women and

children.

And if they call you a caveman for doing so, let them talk.
