Okay. Heritage Foundation, this is Heritage Explains. The U.S. government currently prints seven denominations of paper money, and chances are you've seen all of them.

currently printing those, $5, $10, $20, $50, and $100. But you might not be as familiar with some

American paper money that's still floating around out there that is fully legal tender. If you find one of

honor it. There's a $500 bill featuring the face of President William McKinley, which was printed

starting in 1945. There's a $1,000 bill, which was originally printed with the face of Alexander

Hamilton, but after officials decided that it might be confusing, since he was also featured on the $10

bill, this was changed to President Grover Cleveland. There's also a $5,000 bill, which features

James Madison, and a $10,000 bill which features Sam and Chase, an accomplished statesman who was

governor of Ohio, senator from Ohio, secretary of the treasury under Abraham Lincoln, and Chief Justice

of the Supreme Court. But now, he's most famous for being the guy on the $10,000 bill.
