Summary

Do you want to hear the voice of God more in your life? For many of us, hearing the voice of God is a constant struggle. Dr. Sri recommends that in order to hear the voice of God, we need more silence in our lives. He offers four ways to build moments of silence into our daily lives.

0:39.2	It reminds me of one of my kids, one of my little kids.
0:42.0	She can be a little shy sometimes when there's guests over or we're having a party and there's
0:45.9	lots of noise and she has a need and she wants to come up and talk to us, but she speaks
0:51.1	so softly in a whisper.
0:55.0	And when there's a lot of people talking, there's a lot of noise around and she's barely giving
0:59.3	us a whisper.
1:00.3	We can't hear her.
1:01.5	We need to take her into another room to acquire place away from the busyness and the noise
1:06.3	and the commotion so we can hear her voice.
1:09.1	And I think the same is true with God.
1:12.6	You see, the Bible just had this great reading from Scripture in the Mass recently.
1:17.1	It comes from 1 Kings, chapter 19, verses 11 through 13.
1:20.2	It's about the prophet Elijah, he's on Mount Carmel and God is coming to him.
