The branding move sparked a major backlash from Bud Light drinkers, who largely went on to boycott the drink nationwide. Even with weeks past the initial controversy, Bud Light saw its fifth consecutive week of plummeting sales, bringing dismay to the Anheuser-Busch executives who are brainstorming how their brand can recover.
