Have you ever thought about government being too big?

Probably not right at this moment, because what happened on Saturday, right after recording this episode, there was an assassination attempt on Donald Trump's life.

You were probably thinking about other threats besides big government.

But this episode, which again, we recorded literally right before the events in Butler, Pennsylvania, still hold true.

It is big government that causes some issues and some problems and gets talked about a lot on Twitter.

Again, not this weekend.

This weekend, all the conversation on Twitter is about something else.

But these fundamental issues are extremely important,

and that's what we're going to talk about in this particular episode, even though we recorded it

before Saturday afternoon.

Before we start the episode, I want to record an update.

So that episode I wrote over the last week and then I recorded it on Saturday.

And then literally after I packed up the stuff and got home, something happened in the news.

And it seems weird to publish the episode without mentioning that we do know what happened on Saturday. And I think that

the episode stands as it is. There doesn't need to be a new episode covering the current affairs.

The stuff in the episode that you're about to listen to applies perfectly. The way that the media

has reacted to the assassination of Donald Trump, very similar to media coverage we talk about

in the episode, and ultimately the biggest threat that we talk about in the episode is and remains

the biggest threat today. So I think the episode is actually very timely to the events that

happened on Saturday and possibly timeless because they cover bigger issues.
