Well, I'm going to have to take my Arsenal fan hat off for this one,

because it was a story broken by David Ornstein in The Athletic on the 30th of July.

It's a really fascinating one because we've got a goalkeeper who signed a four-year contract in May,

so you'd like to think there's a lot of

confidence behind him at the club. Art, are you surprised by this story? The interest is clear,

because it's not the first time that this has come about, especially with David Rea. If we think

back three years ago when Emmy Martinez was close to leaving the club and eventually

did, Rayo was the player who Arsenal were really looking at at the time.

Obviously, it didn't come to pass.

And then a year later, they signed Aaron Remstale.

But I think when you look at this situation now, it just shows where Arsenal are trying

to go really with their, I guess, transfer workings over the last few years in terms of being able to have a few decent options in multiple positions.

Now it just gets to the tricky part because can you really have that in goal?

I'm not sure.
