Welcome back to Revista de la Liga. This channel doesn't exist for the purpose of being

a storybreaker about the transfer market, but it is interesting when deals like the one

which looks like it will be completed soon to take Christian Mosquera from Valencia to Arsenal.

When deals like that take place, they do intrigue me. And it's clear from some of your communications that they interest you,

whether you are a fantasy football fan

and you're worrying about whether you should pick him or not,

or whether you're a gooner.

The thing to say about Mosquera is that I'm going to be unusually careful

not to speak in big red capital letters.

Throughout my career, I've always had big, strong views that I'm unafraid to push right out there.

But in this instance, I'm going to preach a little bit of patience.

Let me explain why.

Mosquera has really evident abilities in that he's in the modern style of central defenders.

Very big unit, more than decent in the air, really quick.

His sprints take him in short and medium trajectories at the type of pace you need to be able to cope with

the pretty frenetic hurly-burly of the Premier League where I don't think defending is generally regarded as an art

more of something as a bolt-on necessity.

Defending in La Liga, I would argue, is significantly more scientific,

significantly more strategic and organised, whereas the edge in the Premier League, for my taste at least,

is a lot more about how powerful are you.

How robust are you mentally? How much physical contact can you take? How high can you jump?
