Today, why aren't we talking about Baptista O'J?

There was a story, there was a story you may have missed this past month.

It's about a 15 year old football loving boy from North Woolwich in London, who was stabbed to death after getting off a bus on his way home from school.

Baptista O'J was the second youngest to be murdered in the capital this year.

This weekend was his funeral.

At the same time, we were all obsessing about that car crash interview with Prince Andrew. We

nearly did today's episode about it, but then the same thing would have happened.

Baptista's story, another black teenage victim of knife crime would have dropped off the news

agenda.

If this was white boys being stabbed and murdered every week in the capital, Something would have been done about it a long time ago.

He's reported on dozens of murders in the past few months including Jody Chesney's. You probably have heard of

her. The 17 year old was fatally stabbed in a park also in London back in March. Two teenagers were sentenced to life

for her murder today. We did an episode about it last week after her story got a

lot of coverage nationally. The Metropolitan Police Commissioner Cressidder Dick

visited the scene where Jody was stabbed. But why do we hear and why do we care

about one victim more than another?
