mystery hour is upon us, and my goodness me, it's even more welcome than usual this week, isn't it?

After the very grim business of debating war, we turn our attention now to altogether lighter matters.

why do we do this? What's the origin of that? Where does that come from? When that? The who's, the whys, the whens, the whithers, the even the occasional wear force.

Not to mention wences. This is where you get your answers.

But unlike the newspaper equivalent, you don't have to wait weeks for someone else to write

in with the answer to the question that you've asked. Someone else will ring in before

one o'clock today, which allows me, that beautiful interplay between question and answer,

allows me to do this.

I guarantee that by one o'clock today you will know more than you do now.

It may not be knowledge that you're particularly grateful for.

It may not be knowledge that proves in any way useful to you at any point in your subsequent

existence.

It may not even be knowledge that you remember far beyond tea time today.
