Summary

On Saturday, a 21-year-old killed three people in Jacksonville, Florida, in a racist hate crime. 60 years on from Martin Luther King's famous 'I Have a Dream' speech, and three years on from the killing of George Floyd, why does America seem to always go 'two steps forward and then two steps back'? And do the GOP frontrunners have a handle of the problem of racial discrimination in America?

We ask Ron Christie, Republican strategist who's father used to vandalise segregationist signs in 1960s America.

And.. Trump's court date for election interference is set for early March. The day before the biggest day in the race to be nominated as the Republican presidential candidate for 2024. That'll be some week.

But we've got to start with Donald Trump's extraordinary fundraising this weekend with one photograph.

The photo, of course, of him at Fulton County Jailhouse,

the mugshot. The picture of him glowering into the camera, his head tilted down, his eyes

1:54.8

looking up, his lips pursed, an angry, defiant Donald Trump. But of course, there is legal jeopardy wherever he looks,

2:04.9

and that shouldn't be forgotten, even if he is using it as a fundraising opportunity. And boy,

2:10.9

does he need to use it as a fundraising opportunity? Because he is spending millions, tens of millions,

2:17.2

literally in legal fees alone, just to keep him out of prison, frankly, with these four indictments and 91 charges that he faces.

2:27.0

And nowhere has that legal jeopardy been played out more powerfully in Washington over the course of the past 24 hours, where Donald Trump went to court, or his lawyers

2:35.8

went to court to argue that his trial over the January the 6th attempted insurrection shouldn't
