Now, we're having the aftermath of the third lockdown announcement today

and the Chancellor Rishi Sunak has been praising his boss, Katie. What has he said?

Yes, the Chancellor has given an interview

where he says that the Prime Minister acted decisively in deciding to have a third national

lockdown. I think the words act decisively will raise a few eyebrows, certainly amongst Labour

and also in some of his party, because when the Prime Minister made that decision,

what happened before was that you had, A, Nicola Sturgeon choosing to have a national lockdown

in Scotland, you had Kit Stama calling for a national lockdown in England, you had Jeremy Hunt,

the former House Secretary calling for a national lockdown. So while if you were the one making

a decision, you have more you have to consider, it wasn't as low it was a novel idea.

I think that the point the Chancellor is making, however, is that in terms of the worrying data, and that's the data that was presented at both the COVID O meeting yesterday, but also when Boris Johnson spoke to his cabinet, that data, he's saying, you know, showed worrying trends

and they reacted as and when they saw it.

I do think the interesting thing in terms of that data is,

we have heard in the past, you know,

about this debate between the cabinet doves and the cabinet hawks on lockdown.
