There are more things to talk about than we will ever have time for.

And I struggle with how much of what's going on in Houston and

how much of what's going on in Texas should I discuss because our

audience is across the country. But occasionally I think it's important to look at Texas as opposed to Washington, D.C. to see what this state is doing right and wrong, just as we do with Florida. Texas comes easily because I got a lot of friends who

are in the state legislature and the governor's mansion and in government at

all ranks.

But when we look at what's going on in Texas versus Florida,

where I think they've really done some wonderful things,

and yes, Desantis deserves credit, he's not going to be the Republican nominee, but he does

deserve credit for being a good governor and for really taking the fight to the Democrats

on issues and winning them.

What we're seeing in Texas, where we have a majority of the House, so we have the Speaker,

a majority of the Senate, so we have the lieutenant governor who is that who

presides over the Senate and the governor's office and all statewide offices.

What we're seeing is an absolute failure to accomplish anything on issues that matter.

We can't close our border.

We can't get school choice. We can't deal with the issues that

voters want dealt with because the Republicans are at certain levels being dominated by rather

rather liberal Republicans who are either owned by a certain silk-stocking Republican

Romney class or are unwilling for the battle so they stay in office but they never actually
