So I came into the story last Sunday.

It's the first weekend of protests in New York and we had kind of been seeing them grow

in intensity for a few days at that point.

We had seen police cars burned.

We had seen a lot of clashes between protesters and police.

And by Sunday night, we had this kind of growing tension between demonstrators and the cops.
