0:38.0	If you're lucky, you got Harriet Tubman, Frederick Douglass, MLK.
0:41.0	You learned that white people in there, benevolence, ended slavery.
0:44.0	There was that little Jim Crow problem.
0:46.0	But then we had a civil rights movement.
0:48.0	Now racism is over the end.
0:50.0	And that's what you got if you grew up in New York, like I did.
0:53.0	If you grew up in some other states, you got even less.
0:56.0	And that is fucked up because millions of black Americans have lived in this country since its founding,
1:02.0	since even before its founding, and each one of those people has a history unto themselves.
