I'm Phil Perry, really excited to bring you today's episode because we are talking about one of the most intriguing undrafted rookies in this year's Patriots rookie class, and that is UC Davis running

back, Lan Larison.

Now, we've been telling you about Larison for a while now.

A few weeks before the draft even came around, we were talking about Larison on this very

podcast because we had our great friend from CBS Sports,

Emery Hunt, who always gives us the under the radar prospects we hadn't yet heard much about a couple of weeks before the draft.

He gave us Land Larison's name.

And he's talking about this guy who looks like a really polished pass catcher out of the

backfield, somebody who can pass protect as well,

somebody who can be used as sort of a Swiss Army knife.

He's got some return experience, has some other special teams experience, use them in the

passing game, use them as a between-the-tackles rusher and at the FCS level.

And again, nobody better to tell us about these players than Emery Hunt because he is traveling the country to watch all of these All-Star games, whether you're Division 2, Division 3, FCS.

He's all over all of the best players from some of these lesser heralded programs.

And so, no surprise, he would give us a name like Larisons.

But then soon after the draft, we find out that the Patriots have worked pretty hard to make

sure that Larison is one of their guys.

And to make sure that they bring him in, make sure that he's at rookie minicamp.

And he was.

And we had a chance to watch him last week.
