Let's get started on cleaning the entire house.

Make sure you're wearing something comfortable yet presentable, freshen up a little bit. That may mean just washing your face

and putting your hair in a bun or ponytail, or for some of us, it means a little bit of makeup.

Hey, if the old barn needs painting, paint it. If you are expecting company, you will want to take out your trash to make sure

your house smells good. Another way to start a cleaning session, if you're not expecting company,

would be to start a load of laundry in the washing machine. And then a lot of times when I'm in the laundry room,

I will wipe down the washer and dryer.

They get dusty really quickly.

So maybe keep some disinfectant wipes in there

or any cleaning wipes for that matter

just to kind of dust off those areas.

In case you didn't have any laundry to start,

our next step is going to be cleaning the kitchen.

So either keep working on that laundry load or head to the kitchen.

I went shopping yesterday for one of those white elephant gift exchanges.

It's funny how, you know, in the past, I used to think of a white elephant gift gift as kind of a gag gift or something silly.

I've been to Christmas parties where you bring something from around your house

or you buy something just that's kind of a joke, a chia pet, or just something weird.

But it's funny how they still call it a white elephant gift exchange, even if it's not a white
