| 0:17.8 | Yeah, so if the court rules in line with its draft decision leaked in early May, that |
| 0:22.5 | would disrupt abortion access across the country by turning those decisions back to the |
| 0:26.8 | states. That ruling would trigger state abortion bans and restrictions in about half the states |
| 0:32.3 | affecting anyone seeking an abortion who lives there. |
| 0:35.1 | And that's because some state lawmakers have passed so-called trigger laws, meaning |
| 0:39.5 | if Rose overturned in some states, a lot more abortion restrictions would go into effect |
| 0:44.0 | soon after. |
| 0:45.4 | That's right. So depending on your state, things might not change, but in certain states, |
| 0:49.5 | you might be subject to those restrictions. The effect of abortion policy is of course |
| 0:54.0 | something that touches everybody in much broader groups than just people who get pregnant. |
