Well, number one, this is going to break up that nine-month gap in between the NBA's hiatus in mid-March to the tentative start of next season, which again, tentatively set for the beginning of December.

If they didn't get this training camp sort of deal, then that would have been nearly a year, nine months, without any team activities,

And for a team that is trying to vault back into contention next year with so many moving parts,
