Summary

Retired Intelligence Unit Detective Gary Jenkins talks with the man who took the daughter of Tony Accardo or “Big Tuna” to her prom and later helped out at her wedding. The Prom relationship never was; he was more of a bodyguard. Carlo Morelli grew up in Chicago and was a fly on the wall to many Outfit activities. Listen to the story of a high school kid who took Big Tuna’s daughter to prom, ditched the bodyguards to go drink beer in Wisconsin, and brought her home about daylight the following day. Carlo had an uncomfortable confrontation with the most feared mobster in Chicago and lived to tell the story. Carlo Morelli first encountered Tony Accardo at Meo’s Restaurant. He had become friends with Trip Meo, the wife of the owner, Charles Meo. Tony Accardo and Paul Ricca used this location as a place where they could always be found, and they conducted many meetings at a corner table.
