In Romans chapter 7, in verse 5, it says,

for when we were in the flesh, the motions of sins

which were by the law did work in our members to bring forth fruit unto death.

Sin gained motion or traction.

It gained access to us by the law.

The law actually made sin come alive. It's going to us by the law.

The law actually made sin come alive.

It's going to say that here in just a few verses.

In verse six it says, but now we are delivered from the law that being dead,

wherein we were held that we should serve in newness of spirit

and not in the oldness of the letter.

What shall we say then is the law sin?

God forbid.

You know some people could think that because of the things that I'm saying

that the law killed, the law condemned, the law may strengthen sin, the law made you guilty,

the law shut your mouth and did all of these things.

Some people could think, well, then the law was bad.
