The Grenfell Tower disaster has revealed that our building safety regulation may have some

very shaky foundations. How are we still

unable to determine whether the cladding used at this building was banned or

not banned? As this new aspect of the housing crisis is exposed, we need a Secretary of State

for housing who is a member of cabinet and we need that person now.

No man obviously are in thoughts with all the people who were caught up in it and

sadly the death toll is still likely to rise.

But quite quickly the conversation moved on to how on earth this could have happened and this focus on cladding.

How confident should we be that the cladding was the problem?
