Andy Martino. I can't believe my eyes. In the flash. I'm back in studio. Back from

Minneapolis, Houston, Bronx, what have you, a couple weeks on the road.

What was your takeaway from your coverage of Yankees postseason baseball?

That doesn't, like... In what, like a Mets angle?

Well, however you want to angle it, you know?

Well, one thing was how the perspective that it casts the Mets run into,

because it was exciting and the Mets overachieved in some ways in the second half of the season.

But when you're watching teams that are really in that place, you're like, okay, wow,

if the Mets are actually in this position going against, you know,

as currently constituted, going against these teams that I'm watching, the Mets aren't there yet. That was what in my take order. You don't

have that. Take them out of that context. A couple of rounds ago, I, the thought occurred to me

when I was watching the Nationals that the Mets could be doing what they're doing now with the,

you know, some good starting pitching, using them as relievers.

They could have gotten that wild card spot. Do you not feel that way anymore?

Well, it's more of a bullpen thing where you're just like, teams like the nationals that don't have

bullpen as a strength have to hope that a couple guys get hot and then they have to get a little

creative like using Patrick Corbyn, which last night I was really feeling like in the moment that it happened,

I was like, this is very interesting.

And then you have Hudson, Daniel Hudson and Doolittle who scare you, but they can still

kind of get it done.

So actually my comment that I made a minute ago is not about the Mets whole roster.
