Summary

In this episode, Dinesh reveals who’s really running the country, since we know it isn’t the mumbling, bumbling figure who has the title of President.  Mitch McConnell warns that Democrats’ efforts to overturn the filibuster and change voting laws are naked exercises of power; Dinesh asks what remedy, if any, the founders devised for our current situation. Who hates Asian-Americans? Dinesh shows it is many of the same people who are now proclaiming their political solidarity with them. Congress is conducting an investigation of Parler, but if what Parler says is true, Dinesh concludes we need an investigation of Congress and its financial ties to Big Tech monopolies. Robert Kiyosaki, author of “Rich Dad, Poor Dad,” joins Dinesh with advice on how to succeed in today’s surreal political and economic environment. Also, by explaining the logic of “sub specie aeternitatis,” Dinesh shows why we can live contentedly even in the midst of the craziness around us.

Who's running the country if it's not Joe Biden? It would be interesting to know because whoever is running the country, that's our real president.

1:00.4

Joe Biden is in the sort of costume of president. Of course, he appeared yesterday to do his belated press conference.

1:09.4

And at times he didn't even seem to know what he was doing. Here's a little clip. Check it out.

1:19.4

So the best way to get something done, if you hold near and dear to you that you like to be able to, anyway, we're going to get a lot done.

1:34.4

I mean, what a mess. Now there were times when Biden seemed a little more coherent.

1:41.4

But it's now come out that the reason he even was is because he was supplied with a battery of 14 point font index cards.

1:52.4

And every topic, he had his talking points. So he was sort of like a human parrot. And they told him if the press says infrastructure, pull out your infrastructure card and start reading.

2:02.4

And that's basically what Biden is doing. But the important point about a parrot is a parrot doesn't say the parrot is actually just repeating what somebody else has concocted or taught the parrot to mindlessly say.

2:17.4

The journalist, of course, when they usual stupified a genuine, fleeting devotional, embarrassing, non-critical stance, only one time in the whole press conference did an intelligent question, was an intelligent question even asked. And Biden seemed a little stunned and unable to at least immediately reply. Listen.

2:40.4

I'd like to circle back to immigration, please. You just listed the reasons that people are coming talking about in country problems saying that it happens every year.

2:55.4

You've linked the last administration. Sir, I just got back last night from a reporting trip to the border where I met nine year old Jose who walked here from Honduras by himself along with another little boy.

3:07.4

He had that phone number on him. And we were able to call his family. His mother says that she sent her son to this country because she believes that you are not deporting unaccompanied minors like her son. That's why she sent him alone from Honduras.

3:25.4

So, sir, you blamed the last administration, but is your messaging in saying that these children are and will be allowed to stay in this country and work their way through this process, encouraging families to get their children to stay in this country and work their way through this process.

3:34.4

Encouraging families like Jose's to come. Well, look.

3:46.4

Yeah, see, it's it's tough for a parent to deal with that one because that was unrehearsed. There wasn't a note card on this kid traveling from Honduras.

3:57.4

So now there's a deeper point here that goes beyond the embarrassment of having this senile dude in the Oval Office, stage managed by AIDS and by the media. The point is, who is calling the shots here? Who's the who's the real leader of this democratic society?

4:20.4

Now, very interesting article by Dan Galerunter in American greatness. It's called it's actually called Who's Running This Thing? And Dan begins by invoking William F. Buckley's famous line for a while ago now saying he would rather be governed by the first 500 names in the Boston phone directory than by the Harvard faculty.

4:44.4

Now, this is a this is a line that's actually I've scratched my head over this for a quarter century because I've been thinking to myself, what happens to a country when the Harvard faculty is actually running the country?
