Well, I'm going to jump right in and get your take on, and we're recording this folks on the 4th, so we're just out of Kevin Paloza.

I wanted to get your take Jonathan on the level of chaos inside the House GOP since Matt Gates led this coup against Kevin McCarthy.

It is an historic extraordinary amount of chaos, and you said it correctly that this is not chaos in the House of Representatives.

This is chaos in the House GOP, and we should make sure we don't shorthand it any other way.

This is about the Republican Party, and a Republican Party that has been refashioned in Donald Trump's image, and what has happened here after McCarthy won with such a narrow margin in January,

that his fate was tied to the whims of any one member. That member, unfortunately ran, became Matt Gates.

And with McCarthy now out, signaling he wouldn't run again, we now have a week or more.

And some Republicans I talk to say that even though the Speaker ballot is set for next Wednesday, the 11th, they don't think it will happen then.
