It's four minutes after ten. A very good morning indeed to you. I don't send help yet or anything like that. And don't worry. Don't summon matron. But I think I might be broken. What do I mean by that? I mean, I think I might have reached some sort of saturation point. I'm cursed with this desire, which is often frustrated. Please don't think I'm being cocky, but I do have a desire

to work things out. I like to understand things, even if they're not very nice, even if it's bad,

it's better to understand. I prefer to understand how something works, even if it's something

that might harm me. That makes sense, right? I appreciate completely that not everybody's like that.

And I think the days of thinking that one approach to life was materially better than the other,

at least in retreat, if not necessarily completely behind me, the phrase ignorance is bliss

is a cliche for a reason.

I mean, it is bliss. There are many times where you'd think,

I'd rather not know what was actually going on. This government seemed to be, well, I don't know,

actually. But the reason why I described myself as being broken is I don't know what to say to you

this morning. And that's the first time this has happened,

I think, since it started. It wasn't as a result of the 19th of July pronouncements. I could get my

head around those. And the I newspaper today perhaps confirms some of the suspicions that we had

and that we've shared on the program already this week. White Horse Source tells the eye that the driving force to stop the mandatory face coverings

came from modelling that showed events in hospitality industries could lose more than four billion pounds.

So, and here's a line that I do still find frightening.

Ministers decided to lift restriction despite scientists' warnings that baseline measures

should be kept in place to control a resurgence in infections and stop super spreader events.

So, once again, immediately, we start thinking of Wembley Stadium tonight with 60,000 people in it.

If that's not a super spreader event, then I am a banana.

I'm also, I think, a bit broken because what do you say now?
