Summary

Oscar’s always been a bit… different. Sensitive, they say. Gifted? Cursed? Who knows? One night, while on his usual run down an old, lonely path, he crossed a bridge and felt someone closing in behind him. He stepped aside to let the faster runner pass, but when he turned to give a friendly nod, there was no one there. Cue the goosebumps. Now, Oscar’s pretty sure whatever—or whoever—was behind him isn’t the kind of running buddy you want tagging along. He just hoped it didn’t follow him home.

Like most people, I hate running, especially at night. I try to run at least four miles a day and I always take the same path around Lake Cliff Park and the Houston Street Bridge.
