Thank you. This is Heritage Explains. For seeing Laura, what you're seeing behind me is one of multiple locations that have been burning in Kenosha, Wisconsin over the course of the night.

A second night since Jacob Blake was seen shot in the back seven times by a police officer.

And what you are seeing now, these images came and come and stark contrast to what we saw over the course of the daytime hours in Kenosha

and into the early evening, which were largely peaceful demonstrations in the face of law enforcement.

Many of our listeners may recognize this clip from CNN's coverage of the Black Lives Matter riots in Kenosha, Wisconsin in the summer of 2020.

The correspondent was standing in front of a group of cars that

had been set on fire by protesters. The now infamous words on the screen at the time read, quote,

fiery but mostly peaceful protests after police shooting. This moment, among so many others,

typified the so-called Summer of Love of 2020.

The moral cowardice, malpractice, an outright lying of activists, legacy media, and leftist

politicians dragged the country through months of burned businesses, threatened families,

and whole cities living in terror.
