I left it off last time in my attempt to look in the New York Tribune, the April 24th edition, which it was a Monday, to look for some kind of blurb that mentioned Booth's diary

had been found at Gambo Creek.

I couldn't find that.

It wasn't the first edition that I was looking.

There may have been a second edition, but

understandably, this was a late insertion.

They'd have to stick it somewhere

where they could find a spot for it or make a spot

for it.

I mean, I would put that on the front page and have a little bold-faced headline or box it off and draw some attention to it even if you couldn't go on about it, because not a lot was known,

but this would still be worth, I think, breaking news.

I don't know.

All I know is they didn't find it.

That's not as critical as is the fact that a diary was found.

And we talked about, I'm not really sure we talked about who found.

It was an Indian tracker by the name of Whippet, Nalgaid, from the Pamunkey tribe, which was throughout Virginia, North Carolina.

It was an excellent tracker.

He was at Gambo Creek, and he found a number of items left there.

I don't remember I enumerated them, but I will now.
