Not so much Chris himself, right?

Because I'm sure I've lost half of the tuned in audience within the first 30 seconds of mentioning the name Chris Greer on the program

today.

Anyway, not a very popular figure in South Florida.

And rightfully so when you consider the magnitude of the rebuild that the team went

through, surviving multiple head coaches, and ultimately just kind of watching this thing run out of gas,

watching the build kind of have its peak years.

If you start counting in 19, and I understand he was GM by title in 18 or in 16, 17, 17 and 18, but he really had

unquestioned football operation control by title and job responsibility starting in 19.

And year three, year four, year five before you have to start making hard decisions on who

to keep and who to get rid of.

And now you're more of a contending team.

So resources to spend on any given year are a little bit less available than what they are when you tear the whole thing down and you organically get a bunch of high end picks and a bunch of high end draft.

Happen and cap space to work with, right?

You get the year five, that's kind of where the hard decisions have to start taking

place.

And those years for Miami were 22 and 23 with Mike McDaniel.
