We have a powerful message. It's going to be really, really special.

We're going to ask the question, who needs church?

That's the title of this message.

And I think it's an appropriate question to ask,

especially the week after Easter,

because Jesus didn't just die on the cross

and then rise from the dead to set us free from our sins

and to secure heaven for us. He immediately ascended to heaven

after talking and speaking and showing himself to many witnesses who would be able to give

the testimony that they had seen Christ after he died.

And after having done that, he ascended to heaven,

and then as he promised, he sent his Holy Spirit

to help his followers fulfill his instructions of preaching the gospel and

immediately you have the church being born you have these people gathering

together in the name of Jesus.

And so the question we're asking is,

why is it so important?

Who needs to?

Why was it so important to God

that Jesus immediately have to rise from the dead,

instructed the spirit to fill up our souls

so that we might participate in the church.
