Summary

Derek Chauvin, the police officer most prominently involved in the death of George Floyd, was found guilty of all charges against him yesterday. This of course did nothing to appease the leftist mob. When Ma’Khia Bryant was shot and killed by police while brandishing a knife, the hive mind immediately switched gears and zeroed in on Bryant’s story. Our editors examine the media forces at work and the deeper issues festering beneath the veneer of righteous fury.

I mean, it's going back to tribalism of a rank kind where you're just, your tribe is fighting

0:08.6

in another tribe, however demarcated.

0:11.1

So, I mean, how does that relate to the larger sort of elite play, which is, you know,

0:19.6

I mean, in my mind, it's just as simple as the left sees. They're in

0:24.2

control of everything, but not by a lot. And a lot of people are very angry. And they have to just

0:29.5

push the racial stuff as much as possible because it gives them a little bit of an edge

0:33.1

electoral politics to hang on. It's all they know. So they're just pushing it to it as much as they can. Find the video. Push it out. There's got to be a riot. There's got to be a protest. So we don't keep this up to 11. We're going to lose. lose. Hello once again and welcome to the roundtable, the official weekly podcast of The American Mind, as you can probably tell by listening to my voice.

There's really, I mean, there's no escaping, of course, today being the 21st of April, and you'll

1:53.5

hear it, I guess, on the 22nd. There's no escaping talking about the verdict that was delivered

1:58.1

in the trial of, I guess, Derek Chauvin, as how I've heard

2:02.8

it said. He's the cop that was involved most, most prominently with the death of George Floyd

2:09.2

in Minneapolis. This trial's been going on for a while. The nation's been holding its breath,

2:14.1

not only to find out what the verdict will be, but simply because there's a just

2:18.2

remarkable sort of drama playing out on the national stage in which mobs, rioters,

2:26.1

tore our cities apart over this last year. It's been openly threatened that they'll do it again.

2:31.8

And Tifa was plotting to riot, you know, one way or another,
