He was, what a resume, what a future he had, a lawyer, a journalist, a magazine publisher,

of course, the son of President John F. Kennedy, and it was on the evening of July 16th 1999. He died when the airplane he was flying

crashed into the Atlantic Ocean about seven and a half miles west of Martha's Vineyard and his wife, Carolyn Besset and sister-in-law,

Lauren Besset, were also on board and died.

It was a Piper Saratoga light aircraft. It departed from New Jersey's Essex County Airport and its intended route was along the coastline of Connecticut and across Rhode Island Sound to Martha's Vineyard Airport.
