0:00.0	October 27th, 1989 will mark 30 years that the Amy Mahalovic case has remained unsolved.
0:08.0	Previously, on who killed Amy Mahalovic.
0:12.0	We originally took the report as a missing person, and we have changed it now,
0:17.0	acting on the assumption that she may have been abducted.
0:20.0	It's a shock. We're a very quiet, safe community,
0:23.6	and when something like this happens, it just seems unbelievable.
0:27.6	What went on was a ploy that was developed and carried through,
0:33.6	and it looked like a natural action going on. It didn't look out of the ordinary at all.
0:40.2	If anybody has seen her get into a vehicle, I think that would help quite a bit.
0:45.4	We also have reason to believe that Amy left with that individual from that location
0:51.5	and went to another area where they may have gone shopping, and that would be a mall or a shopping center somewhere in the area.
1:00.0	We have had thousands of suspects called in to our department.
1:05.0	Viewing all her classmates at this time trying to get as much information as we can relative to what they saw and what
1:12.6	they heard her say. Whoever did this was praying on, you know, this little girl and the love of her
1:17.8	mother. Early this afternoon, an anonymous caller told the FBI, Amy had been dropped off at
1:23.1	Euclid Square Mall in front of the Flasheim shoe store. Within minutes the mall was crawling with police.
1:29.3	They searched inside and outside, but no Amy.
1:32.3	I just want to, you know, reach out and put my arms around her and give her a hug.
1:37.3	My instincts told me the searches wouldn't produce anything.
1:43.3	That was just my instincts.
1:44.9	I know they had to go through that as a part of the process.
1:48.2	We have come to find out there was absolutely nothing regarding choir after school on Friday.
